No word on the official website yet, but could it be that we’ve accepted a bid for arguably the only good prospect coming out of our academy? The Evening News is reporting that Joe Lewis is ‘considering’ a move to Posh for £400k, which would suggest that we’ve let him consider it.
If so, I have to say, I love the far-sightedness of this move. Another notch on our ambitious belt. Is David Marshall really expected to be here in say 2, 3 years time if we aren’t playing Premiership football or at least challenging fiercely for it? Are we then going to look for another goalkeeper? Why not, seeing as we go through so many. Joe Lewis has been on the City horizon since he was 15, an understudy to Robert Green and trained by the same man.. It’d let down the Academy if he were let go without a single pro appearance…
Elsewhere, apparently Rowan Vine is splitting taxi fair with Martin Taylor in search of a new home, and he wouldn’t be too shabby a signing for us. Also, what ever happened to Calum Davenport?
23:12 - Those tossbags down at QPR have signed Fitz Hall. Is there anyone they aren’t trying to buy?
00:23 - No. It would be nice to buy someone before they get everyone.
Coming soon: Jason Shackell unleashes the dragon, the Jamie Cureton Confidence-O-Meter and what’s going on with James Hollman? Stay tuned.
